Starting April 16th, Every Wednesday | 2:30-3:30 PM | Meet at the Roosevelt Garden
Exciting Garden News!
Starting the week after spring break (April 16th), Common Threads is launching a Family Garden Club! Join Farmer Sabine Wednesdays after school from 2:30 to 3:30 PM in the garden for a fun and engaging outdoor experience. Families and students are welcome to participate—whether it’s learning about gardening, lending a helping hand, or simply exploring and enjoying the space. This is casual gardening! The goal is to invite families to join any Wednesday that works best for them.
Please note that this is not a childcare program; children must be accompanied by an adult. Our goal is to create a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time outdoors together!
Some grade levels are participating in a Garden Class with Common Threads during the school day. If you'd like to volunteer in the garden with your child's class, you may sign up via Common Threads Sign Up Genius.
Looking forward to seeing you in the garden! 🌱🌿

Art Walk is back! This year, we’ve partnered with the Talbot Group to take it to the next level. Student artwork will be on display in the windows of Barkley Village businesses.
The PTA will be handing out giftbags in the gazebo to the first 200 attendees. Take part in a raffle to win over $200 in gift cards from Barkley Village businesses! Plus, enjoy free giveaways happening throughout the evening.
There will be live music and Newmarket Street will be blocked off for the event. Stop by Mod Pizza for dinner that night and they will donate a percentage back to our PTA! Join us for an evening of creativity, community, and fun!
May 23rd | During Lunch Recesses (If bad weather is forecasted, we will reschedule for a nice day)
Our Roosevelt Bears crushed the Bearathon, and now it's time to celebrate with an epic Bubble Recess! 🏃♂️💨✨
🌈We're on the hunt for bubble wands, bubble machines, bubble tools—anything that makes bubbles! Plus, sidewalk chalk and other fun recess supplies.
📍 Drop off your bubbly goodies at the PTA office (right next to the main office), or text Missy at (360) 220-4160, and she'll happily pick them up!
Let’s make this the most epic & bubbliest recess ever!
Parents, you can sign up to join the Bubble Recess fun HERE!
Sign up for your child(s) recess to assist with setup, creating fun, and cleanup between recess. I have created the time slots to include 10 min prior, the length of the grade's recess, and 10 min after for cleanup!
Upload photos of your student to the PTA's private Frameable Moments album so we can use them in the 2024-2025 Roosevelt yearbook! Last day to upload your photos for yearbook consideration is April 27th.

Dear Roosevelt Families,
We are thrilled to share the Spring 2025 Roosevelt Directory with you! This directory is created using the information provided in your Skyward account through our district office. Moving forward, we’ll distribute the Roosevelt Directory twice a year—once in the fall and again in the spring.
Our goal with this directory is to foster a strong and connected community. We hope it serves as a valuable resource for families looking to connect, share, and support one another. Whether it’s organizing playdates, building friendships, or creating support networks, the directory is here to make connecting easier.
If you’d like to update your information for the next directory release in Fall 2025, please review and update your details in Skyward, as this is the information that will be used for the next release.
We hope you enjoy and find value in this directory! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Communications Chair, Missy Asplund, at communications@roosevelt-pta.org.
Warm Regards,
The Roosevelt PTA
